📚When Tara receives a One star review for her new book ‘Just A Fling’ she is understandably upset, but when more One star reviews start coming in thick and fast, Tara notices they are much more personal than they should be and eventually starts suspecting someone close to her is behind it.
💭 I enjoyed this book, It’s a little different to Traci’s other books which I appreciated. The story is mainly focused on finding out who is writing these one star reviews along with following Tara’s journey as a new author, the highs and the lows of it. I feel like the story can really speak to aspiring authors who may be in the same boat as Tara, and that alone can make the book more special
We get quite a few characters introduced in this book, the main ones being Tara, Mandy, Jenna and Dexter. I really enjoyed Tara and Mandy’s friendship, I love how much they could be honest with each other and they hyped each other up so much which was so nice to read. I did enjoy all of the characters in their own little ways, there were a few different personalities shining throughout the whole book which I liked.
I felt like the story was a great 50/50 balance of romance and thriller. I really enjoyed the thriller aspect of the book, the fact that this is the first time Traci has written anything with a thriller storyline, she has done really well. The actual story was fast paced, easy to read and I definitely found myself hooked in some parts.
I would definitely recommend giving this one a read if you’re both a thriller and a romance fan 🥰
