Book on Tour: Behind The Stars by T. A. Rosewood

I have read nearly all of the authorโ€™s books, and this one is particularly different.

A one-star review on her debut novel pushes Tara into despair and things turn ugly when her page is filled with hate and details from her personal life. Finding out who and why such a thing was done is the crux of the story.

I enjoyed this book and finished it in a single sitting. The storyline was a roller coaster of emotions. The author has portrayed it so realistically that we can sympathise and feel the anger and joy that Tara goes through.

The turmoil and angst that authors go through when people throw negative reviews and hurtful words at them and their books, and how Tara handles it are portrayed well.

The small cast of characters shines throughout the story no matter how small their role is.

The friendship between Tara and Mandy is beautiful, endearing, and heartfelt. Iโ€™m sure we all need a friend like Mandy in our lives. Jenna, Dexter, Taraโ€™s parents, and brother will all leave an indelible mark on our hearts.

Although I was able to guess the person behind all the negativity, the reason/motive left me stunned.

Last but not least, the title and beautiful cover are so apt and bring out the essence of the storyline.

In all, this is a psychological thriller that will keep you turning pages faster, leading you through twists and turns and finally leaving you stunned!

A 5/5 star read.
