My writing comes from a place of true lived experience, personal grief, and heartbreak. Channelling those real emotions is what allows me to bring a raw, authentic depth to the page through my beloved characters. Because of this, my readers; who proudly call themselves my "Rosettes"... have affectionately given me the title "Queen of Tears."
Whether I am writing a sweeping, life-affirming contemporary romance like my latest release, After Light, or a gripping psychological thriller, my mission is always the same: to take you on an unforgettable emotional journey.
How it all started...
My journey began back in 2016 when I met the incredible Jojo Moyes at the opening of our local independent bookshop, Harts Books in Saffron Walden. That single evening gave me the courage to sit down and write my debut novel, Reasonable Lies, which went on to become an international Amazon #1 Bestseller.
Just recently, at that very same bookshop's 10th anniversary, I reconnected with Jojo to share an incredible milestone: I was celebrating the launch of my tenth novel, After Light.
The Business Behind the Books
Over the last decade, I have independently built a passionate, global community and managed an active backlist of ten full-length novels, selling over 3,500 copies worldwide. I love my readers, and I love the craft, but I also treat storytelling with absolute professional dedication. I have a proven, disciplined writing schedule that allows me to reliably deliver high-quality manuscripts year after year.
I would absolutely love the opportunity for After Light to find a traditional home, and I am already back at my desk hard at work on the next story to keep us all on schedule.
