How amazingly cute is this picture?
I asked for a bit of advice on the cover art on a group on Facebook and a lady messaged me.
She said her daughter, looked over her shoulder and mentioned that Betty had hair just like hers and wanted the book.
With that, her mum, Sayo, purchased it.
Yesterday, she sent me a wonderful picture of little Mia with her copy of Bookworm Betty that had arrived.
Iām thrilled that she loves the book and still canāt get over how much she does actually look like Betty!

A Surreal Moment:
Last week, as I settled into my seat for what would turn out to be a delayed flight to Italy, I had no idea I was about to experience one of those surreal moments that remind you how small the world has become.
As we waited for our flight to depart, the lady seated next to me turned and asked, āCan I ask you a questionā¦ you look familiarā¦ are you an author?ā I nodded, both surprised and intrigued.
What came next left me truly astounded.
āI recognise you from TikTok!ā she...

As an author, one of the most rewarding experiences is connecting with readers who have been touched by your work.
Recently, I had the extraordinary pleasure of meeting one of my biggest fans, Abbie that left me feeling incredibly grateful and inspired.
Amidst the dazzling lights of Leicester Square, on a very rainy Sunday afternoon, I met someone who has been a devoted supporter of my writing journey.
I was truly humbled and moved by meeting Abbie ā a bookstagrammer who has followed me from the...

This week, I was thrilled to see a story in our local newspaper about a boy who had read one of my childrenās books.

Thank you so much, Olivia.

On Wednesday, 10th March, I received a private message from one of my local radio stations, BBC Essex which in itself was very exciting.
They searched on Instagram for 'Essex Author' and found me, yay.
The reason they had contacted me was that they were doing a section that evening live online about ebooks versus paperbacks and how it is moving over more to the digital side these days and in the current situation we have been in during COVID. They asked me to take part and give my views on it...
So on Wednesday, 20th January 2021, I went LIVE on Instagram for the very first time to be interviewed!
I was so nervous but Lucas from the Book Society Pod was very welcoming and helpful in his interview and I really enjoyed it in the end.
We had a good chat about my book and the process and roller coaster ride that Iāve been on over the past year.
He bought my book too, which arrived in lovely California to him, the day before the interview.
It was lovely to see so many people tuning in to say...
Instagram has been amazing for me and my book/author journey so far and one person in particular over the past few weeks has made me even more happy and super proud.
The lovely V.Rose (Vanessa) who is also in the process of writing her first book, titled Always; kindly asked me if she could buy a signed copy from me and get it sent to her.
To NEW YORK!
I was super excited and after three attempts at getting it sent, it finally arrived 5 days later and she then excitedly shared the excitement on...
I was so pleased to receive a message from a book store over in the USA to ask me if they could stock a small selection of my books.
Of course, I said YES!
Red Horse Books is a small book store located in South Georgia specializing in finding great book deals to pass to their readers who shop with them. They especially like to support indie authors like myself so I was more than happy for them to stock my book.
They have ordered a small amount for now and they are due to arrive this week for...

This morning I got a lovely photo sent to me via Instagram.
It was from a reader who had purchased my ebook a few weeks back, read it and then left an amazing review for me.
As a little thank you to her, I sent her a FREE matching Reasonable Lies Bookmark and it took just over a week to arrive in the big city of NEW YORK!
