How amazingly cute is this picture?

I asked for a bit of advice on the cover art on a group on Facebook and a lady messaged me.

She said her daughter, looked over her shoulder and mentioned that Betty had hair just like hers and wanted the book.

With that, her mum, Sayo, purchased it.

Yesterday, she sent me a wonderful picture of little Mia with her copy of Bookworm Betty that had arrived.

I’m thrilled that she loves the book and still can’t get over how much she does actually look like Betty!

A Surreal Moment:

Last week, as I settled into my seat for what would turn out to be a delayed flight to Italy, I had no idea I was about to experience one of those surreal moments that remind you how small the world has become.

As we waited for our flight to depart, the lady seated next to me turned and asked, “Can I ask you a question… you look familiar… are you an author?” I nodded, both surprised and intrigued.

What came next left me truly astounded.

“I recognise you from TikTok!” she...
