I love a book that creates such strong feelings towards characters. There are some I couldn't take to at all - Chloe for one and I'm still unsure about Julian. I'm not sure I ever fully warmed to Erika, but I certainly admired her strength and determination! For me, this is a true sign of a great writer, when a fictional character can evoke such strong emotions in a reader.

As well as storylines (where does she get them from?!) and beautifully evocative descriptions (always feel like I'm wherever is being described) Traci has a way of writing characters that is so powerful, I have to remind myself they're not real people... it's a book!!
